The main purpose of Saint Leo the Great School’s Grandparents Club is to support the children, faculty, staff, and administration at the school. Some of the activities we engage in include preparing gift baskets for auction, raffle or sale; organizing the school-wide “Derby Day” (a stick pony horse race for students); hosting the end-of-year luncheon for Eighth Grade, Kindergarten, and Pre-Kindergarten students; reading to lower grade classes and providing other volunteer services needed by school staff. All of our contributions and our efforts directly benefit the school and our precious grandchildren.
The Grandparents Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. in the school’s Science Lab.
This club is not exclusively for grandparents, however. If you are an aunt, uncle, great-grandparent, or other extended family member, we welcome your assistance and membership in the Grandparents Club. Please come and join us. Our goal is to increase our membership and to involve more interested and enthusiastic people. If you wish to participate but cannot come to the Tuesday meetings, your monetary donations, as well as your skills, knowledge, and abilities are most welcome.
Family involvement in the school reflects a strong commitment to Catholic education and contributes greatly to the success and excellence of Saint Leo the Great Catholic School.
