Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is a Pre- Kindergarten through Eighth Grade parish school, within the Diocese of Oakland, California. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with families in the education of their children. We strive to offer our diverse student body a safe environment in which to develop culturally, physically and spiritually.
A Saint Leo the Great Catholic School education emphasizes positive self-image, religious values, self-discipline and life-long learning. The faculty and administration set high academic standards for all students. We afford each student the opportunity to meet Dioceses standards, as well as California Common Core standards.
Our philosophy is Roman Catholic in its orientation. Our students practice social responsibility and Christian values. We strive to accomplish this through community outreach, social justice activities and encouragement to practice peaceful, non-violent interactions at school and in the larger community. We teach our students that our community is one that we serve, as well a one that serves us. We pray, play and learn together.
