Supplemental Resources

Saint Leo the Great has a strong commitment to preparing students for successful academic careers. In addition to our fast-growing technology program on campus, we provide students with an array of supplemental learning tools that can be accessed outside the classroom.  Subscriptions, such as Khan Academy and Mathletics, allow for the complete integration of course content and at-home study skills. Facilitated by faculty, our supplemental learning programs enable students to pace themselves at home, and to explore resources more in-depth.

With our supplemental curriculum, students can expect to learn age-appropriate technology skills. In addition to fostering out-of-classroom learning, our online resources engage parents and allow for direct communication with teachers.

Clever

Saint Leo the Great and the Diocese of Oakland have signed up with Clever to provide your students with a single access point for all the online applications they use in school. They sign in one time with their school email and password and they do not have to log into most of the other applications after that. Students have all of their applications on one central page. YOU MUST ADD THE CLEVER EXTENSION TO YOUR BROWSER FOR IT TO WORK!

Class Dojo is a communication app for the classroom. It connects teachers, parents, and students who use it to share photos, videos, and messages through the school day. They use ClassDojo to work together as a team, share in the classroom experience, and bring big ideas to life in their classrooms and homes. Your student's teacher may use this tool in the classroom.

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.  Some of our teachers use Khan Academy in the classroom to assign videos, practice exercises and more as a supplement to regular classroom instruction.

Mathletics is a captivating online math learning space providing students with all the tools they need to be successful learners, both in the classroom and beyond.  Your student's teacher may use this site to assign practice exercises, track student skill level and provide access to math games to help supplement the regular curriculum.

Created for kids in grades Pre-K through 8, Funbrain.com has been the leader in free educational games for kids since 1997. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy.
